Assembly Instructions

Maintaining your Spit Rotisserie

Galvanized steel is a steel that is coated with a thin layer of zinc that acts as corrosion protection. However, over time, especially under the high temperature of the burning charcoal, the steel may get exposed and start rusting. We recommend using heavy-duty aluminum foil to prevent that and make cleaning easy. Place the aluminum foil on the bottom and sides of the body of the roaster.

Once you finish roasting, leave the unit overnight to ensure that the charcoal is not burning anymore and that the unit is completely cool to the touch. Then, remove the aluminum foil with ash and place it in a metal can.

Now you can clean the ash residual and coat the galvanized body with any edible oil as additional corrosion protection. Maintaining your 52" Charcoal Pig, Lamb, Spit Rotisserie spit roaster this way will help you preserve this unit for many years.

How To Put Your Meat On The Spit

Step 1

Push the spit through the rear opening. Slide the spit fork on the spit facing the legs and but section. Wait to tighten the spit fork!

 

Step 2 

Push the spit fork into the meat. Try to push it all the way. Then, wait to tighten the spit fork!

 

Step 3

Now, slide the second spit fork on the spit facing the shoulders section. 

Wait to tighten the spit fork!

 

Step 4

Push the fork through the meat. If ribs are in the way, use the snips and cut the rib. Please do not use a hammer or try to force it in; this will bruise the meat!
Do not over-tight forks. DO NOT use pliers; everything must be tightened by hand. Installing the spit forks this way will let you use every inch of the spit. This ensures the meat and spit won't shake or move on the spit while in the rotisserie.

Step 5

Poke two small openings with a knife and push the spine fork in.

 

Step 6

Now flip over the meat, place the spine hook's plate and tighten the wing nuts by hand.

 

Step 7

Slide the leg brackets on the spit and secure the front and back legs to the spit.

 

And you're done!

The Pig was perfectly placed on the spit!

We strongly recommend using hardwood lump charcoal with your 52" Charcoal Pig, Hog & Lamb Spit Rotisserie Machine. It won't smell and creates almost no ash while it is burning.
